Please keep in mind that our thermochromic pigments have a low resistance to UV rays and can fade if exposed to direct sunlight, and for that reason we recommend:

UV Protection: You should use a high-quality UV protective clear coat for all exterior applications, such as our Wet Wet Plus clear, or a similar product.
Mixing With Pearls: You can also mix our products with our ghost Pearls or Chameleon Pearls® to help increase their tolerance to UV rays, and create a more custom and unique look for your project.
Longevity: Because this paint is dependent on UV protection, we do not offer any warranty on its longevity, since that depends on how you topcoat it.

A Step-by-Step Guide for Using Thermochromic Paint

To help you get started with our Orange Thermochromic Paint Pigment, here are a few tips for the application process:

Base Coat: Start by applying your desired base coat color, using a white or lighter color for best results.
Mixing: Mix the 25 gram bag of product into a pint of reducer, and let it sit for 24 hours.
Combine: Add the mixed reducer to a pint of clear paint to make a sprayable quart.
Spraying: Apply 5-7 coats of the mixed product over the base coat you’ve chosen.
Finishing: Protect your project by using 3-4 coats of a UV protective topcoat.
