Create Rich, Translucent Color with Black Candy Concentrate: Unlock the Power of True Candy Paint
Looking for a way to make your custom paint jobs look like they came straight from a professional shop? Our Black Candy Concentrate allows you to create a translucent, deep candy finish that is both eye catching and sophisticated. This unique product allows you to create your own custom, candy tinted paints and achieve a professional look without having to pay premium prices.
What is a Candy Concentrate?
Candy paints have a very unique effect that is difficult to capture with other types of pigments. Here are some of the features of our Black Candy Concentrate:
- Transparency: Designed to be completely translucent, allowing light to pass through and enhance the base colors.
- Rich Color: They create a vibrant and dynamic look that has become a staple in the custom paint industry.
- DIY Friendly: Our concentrate lets you create your own candy paint at home or in your shop, without requiring large and costly shipments of premixed paint.
How to Use Our Candy Concentrate Powder
It is easy to use our Black Candy Concentrate Powder to make your own unique and custom candy paint. Here are some simple instructions that you can follow to create a sprayable product:
- Prepare Your Clear: Make sure you have a clear coat or binder that takes a 1:1 ratio of reducer to clear paint.
- Mix with Reducer: Use one 25 gram bag to create a full gallon of sprayable candy paint.
- Soak and Stir: Mix the powder into the reducer, and allow it to sit for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Strain: Pour the colored reducer through a strainer into your clear coat or binder.
- Mix and Apply: Mix well and spray onto your project.
Protect Your Investment With a Quality Top Coat
It is important to note that our candy paints, like all kandy or candy paints, are known to have a lower level of UV tolerance than other pigments and paints. For this reason, you must ensure you are using a high solids clear coat, such as our Wet Wet Plus clear, to get the best protection from UV fading and other damage. Some custom painters even use as many as 16 coats of clear to ensure their kandy coats look their best and are protected.
Explore the Versatility of Candy Paint
Our Black Candy Concentrate is great for many different applications, especially when used over reflective base coats like silver, gold or even with metal flakes. Some of the creative ways you can use our candy paints include:
- Custom Vehicles: Create rich and deep custom candy paint jobs for cars and motorcycles.
- Art and Sculptures: Add a unique translucent shimmer to paintings and sculptures.
- Woodworking Projects: Use to enhance wood grain and provide a custom look for any of your furniture projects.
- Home Decor: Transform the look and feel of your living space with custom painted decor items.
- Accessories: Personalize shoes, jewelry, and other accessories with a custom candy-tinted look.
